About Catherine - Well-Being Coach

I’m a well-being coach and I’ve been involved in the field of psychology for over 17 years.

During this time, I’ve worked in private practice, delivering therapy, or coaching and consulting. I’ve delivered workshops, teaching positive psychology tools and more recently I’ve begun teaching about compassion. Additionally, I’m an author. I’ve written two self-help books and am currently writing my third. I’ve been a volunteer therapist for a substance abuse charity, and I’ve worked as a therapist for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) too.

I also have a doctorate in counselling psychology, so my clients can have peace of mind, knowing they are in very safe hands with me.

I’m passionate about helping people improve their well-being and happiness and flourish in life. I’ve overcome burnout twice and now specialise in helping others recognise, prevent or recover from burnout, using self-compassion and other positive psychology tools and strategies based in science.

Regularly putting into practice what I teach others continues to help me balance my driven mind with my heart-felt values, keep my self-critical, perfectionistic and workaholic tendencies in check and prevent another burnout!

I live in the UK with my husband Mark and our rescue dog Tommy.

My Mission

The 14th Dalai Lama is quoted as saying “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional”. Compassion means being aware of our own and others’ suffering and being motivated to alleviate that suffering.

My mission is to help as many people as possible reduce their suffering,  enhance their well-being and happiness and flourish in life, using the power of compassion, and other positive psychology tools, in my coaching, consulting, teaching and writing.
